Friendships at the San

  • Patients were seperated from all of their other friends at home and sometimes patients were assigned to different wards than friends.
  • Patients made new friendships with other patients/workers.
  • Some friends were afraid of TB so they didn't come near the San.
  • The patients usually made close friends that were in the same ward.
  • The ages of patients varied from 17-60.
  • People played cards with their friends to stay occupied.
